Community theatre is for everyone, whether you have years of experience or this is your first show!
We are always looking for amazing volunteers to help out with our organization.
Whether you’re looking to be involved on the stage, behind the scenes, in the house,
or the community, we have opportunities for you. Please view some ways to

Pit Orchestra Auditions
One of UCT's claims to fame is our LIVE Pit Orchestra for our summer musicals! We are
proud to continue this tradition THIS YEAR for Wizard of Oz (RSC Version)! The orchestra
will be rehearsed and conducted by Brandon Record.
This year we're going to try to streamline things a bit and only audition those instances
where we have more than one person interested in a given position in the ensemble
(or, if someone we haven't worked with before signs up and we need to ensure that
they can handle the part).

Audition For A Show
Urbandale Community Theatre currently produces one show a year in the summer. Auditions are held in the spring, and needs vary from show to show. If you’re interested in auditioning for either the cast or pit orchestra, keep up-to-date on the latest information by filling out the volunteer form below and following us on social media.
Lend a Hand Backstage
For every great show that takes the stage, there’s a great crew behind the scenes making it all happen. From lights, to sound, to scenery and much more, we’re always looking for crew members for our summer productions. No experience necessary. Helping in the House
During the run of our shows, we’re always looking for volunteers to represent our organization to patrons. If you would like to help by ushering, taking tickets, selling merchandise, or just being a friendly face to answer questions, we’d love to have you involved. Community Involvement
Urbandale Community Theatre is a part of our surrounding community. We have Urbandale in our name, an organization of people from around the area. We couldn't do it without their support.
